EIA 383-A - Preparation for Delivery of Electrical and Electronic Components
SCOPE
Purpose
This Standard establishes and defines the general requirements for packaging and packing of electrical and electronic components for domestic shipment and storage at the users facility for a period of 90 days.
Application
Requirements stated herein are for all suppliers of electrical and electronic components, excluding electron tubes.
Use
This standard shall be used when specified on procurement documents, component standardshpecification, drawings, or other specifications.
