Scope:

This standard applies to rectangular cable to board connectors having the following characteristics:

• shielded;

• 4 to 20 positions;

• rectangular-shaped mating interface;

• 2.54 mm pitch spacing on a single or double row connector;

• for discrete wire to board applications;

• keying for determination of voltage requirements

This standard establishes uniform specifications, type testing requirements and quality assessment procedures. It is intended for use in conjunction with EIA sectional specification EIA 700B000.
