Title
Color Codes for Outdoor TV Receiving Antennas
Consumer Electronics Association
Publication Date:
Feb 1, 2009
Scope:
This standard defines color codes to be associated with minimum
performance parameters of outdoor television (TV) receiving
antennas. When used in conjunction with the CEA TV antenna selector
program at www.AntennaWeb.org, these color codes can help both
consumers and professional installers select appropriate outdoor TV
antennas for their particular reception environments.
This standard applies only to devices that can be connected to a
transmission line for purposes of converting an electromagnetic
wave propagating in free space to a radiofrequency (RF) voltage.
Couplers and distribution components that are not permanently
integrated with an antenna are not covered by this standard.
