Scope:
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
It is the purpose of this Standard to establish the basic rules,
which shall be used as a guide in the preparation of basing and
terminal diagrams for electron tubes and associated sealed devices.
It is not intended to be applied to schematic or wiring diagrams
although the depiction of the internal connections of the devices
may be applicable to such usage if desired.
The rules herein promulgated have been specifically planned to
cover low-power highvacuum, gas and cathode ray tubes, klystrons,
and photo-tubes. These rules do not cover other microwave,
high-power vacuum, gas, storage, or x-ray tubes, as terminal
information for those devices ordinarily is contained in the
outline drawing.
