Scope:

This standard specifies the quality of paper, dimension and quality of general purpose cards, and test methods for general purpose cards of 7⅜-inch length. This standard is intended to apply to general purpose in which the primary method of recording information is by punched holes. This standard is not intended to exclude the use of such cards in other applications.
