Scope:
This reliability program standard encourages suppliers and customers to cooperatively integrate their reliability processes. These requirements are written to properly establish the contractual or obligatory relationship between the supplier and customer cooperating together in a product program. Neither the standard nor the customer specifies the tasks to be performed; the supplier is free to use innovative means to develop the product.
