Scope:

This standard establishes minimum requirements for the following :

Application of devices to wire.

User certification of tools used for application noted in 2.1. This standard in no way establishes test methods or performance requirements for the solderless wiring device, nor does it indicate certification or acceptance for such devices.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this standard is to establish procedures for certification by the user of all types of tooling used to crimp solderless wiring devices.
