TIA Publishes Terrestrial Land Mobile Radio Standard

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) published a new standard, TIA-804-B, Terrestrial Land Mobile Radio - Antenna Systems - Standard Format for Digitized Antenna Patterns. The document is a revision of TIA-804-A.

This document provides a standard format for terrestrial land mobile radio antenna manufacturers. Many antenna manufacturers have proprietary formats and a single standardized format will simplify software development, assure consistent usage of antenna pattern data and facilitate data accuracy through a robust, common data format, according to the TIA.

TIA-804-B was created by TIA TR-8.11 Subcommittee on Antenna Systems and released July 2005.
