The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) issued TIA 1130 - Forward Link Only Media Adaptation Layer Specification for Terrestrial Mobile Multicast Multimedia (TM3) systems.
TIA 1130 specifies the media adaptation layer for TM3 systems using the air interfaces specified in TIA 1099 - Forward Link Only Air Interface Specification for Terrestrial Mobile Multimedia Multicast and the transport layer specifi201120ed in TIA 1120 - Forward Link Only Transport Specification.
TIA 1130 specifies the formats and procedures for delivering real-time, non-real-time and Internet Protocol application data.
TM3 networks distribute broadband multimedia content over multicast wireless networks to mobile devices supporting large numbers of subscribers, said TIA.
TIA 1130 was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA Engineering Committee TR-47 Terrestrial Mobile Multimedia Multicast Subcommittee TR-47.1 Based on Forward Link Only Technology.
