TIA Revises Broadcast, Multicast Services Standard - TIA 1041

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) published a revision of its TIA 1041 - Broadcast and Multicast Services (BCMCS) in CDMA2000 Wireless Internet Protocol (IP) Network.

The revision, TIA 1041-A is designed to enhance the standard's scope in the BCMCS field, said TIA.

The standard defines core network protocols and procedures for the support of BCMCS for CDMA2000 networks in addition to setting the services and architecture around BCMCS.

TIA 1041-A was formulated under the cognizance of the TIA TR-45: Mobile and Personal Communications Systems Engineering Committee's TR-45.6: CDMA2000 Wireless Packet Data Technology Subcommittee.
