New! NECA - National Electrical Contractor's Association

The National Electrical Contractor’s Association is the voice of a $100 billion industry responsible for lighting, power, and communication systems within buildings. NECA works to promote higher standards and quality workmanship in the electrical contracting industry.

Used by personnel involved in the design, build or maintenance of a construction project, the National Electrical Installation Standards (NEIS) developed by NECA in partnership with other industry organizations are performance standards for electrical construction. They go beyond the basic safety requirements of the National Electrical Code to define what is meant by installing products and systems in a "neat and workmanlike" manner. Referencing NEIS saves spec-writing time, provides control over workmanship and ensures long-term performance.
