This standard describes the Forward Link Only Test Application Protocol. It also outlines the technical requirements that form a compatibility standard for test applications in Forward Link Only systems. The objectives of the Forward Link Only Test Application Protocol specified in this standard are to provide a set of procedures that Forward Link Only devices and the Forward Link Only network can use. One procedure is to conduct the Forward Link Only device minimum performance test in a factory/laboratory environment. The other procedure is to conduct measurements of Forward Link Only network physical layer performance in a field environment.
